The Food

It's All About The Food

The Rajput prides itself on it's reputation, and the staff go that extra mile to bring you food of unbeatable quality and taste. By spending that little bit more on using the highest quality ingredients, the diners will taste the difference. If it's not good enough to be eaten at home, then it's not good enough for you.

The philosophy at Rajput is that food has 360 degrees. Why such a strange phrase? Well food has so many different sides and dimensions. It's all about understanding the right combinations, ratios and techniques. At Rajput there are two styles of cooking: Perveen's traditional recipes - the real home style cooking; and, Shaan's interpretation of Fusion - a foundation of Perveen's traditional Indian recipes combined with a range of different foreign cooking techniques. The result, a culinary experience that is truly out of this world, yet still retains some Indian values.

At the Rajput, Perveen and Shaan have drawn up a unique menu. This is different to the more usual Indian food that people have come to accept in British restaurants.

In a nutshell, The Rajput is not about the generic named curries.

Whether it be meat, seafood or vegetarian, they specialise in regional dishes from Rajasthan, Goa, South India, Delhi, Punjab and Mumbai (Bombay).

Where others have tried to imitate the menu, you can tell the difference when it comes to taste and quality at the Rajput Restaurant.
