The Beginning

The Rajput Restaurant first opened for business with a humble four tables, and a seating capacity of only sixteen. As customers sampled the dishes Perveen Khan's menu offered, word quickly spread around Harrogate.

There was something very new and different in town. It was a culinary experience not to be missed. The flavours spoke for themselves and the restaurant became an overnight success.

As demand grew, the restaurant was forced to expand into its current capacity of ninety seats.

The reason behind the Rajput's success wasn't the fact that Perveen was an experienced restaurateur. In fact Perveen was new to the restaurant business. It was her menu offering authentic home cooked Indian food that made the restaurant a success.

The Rajput is now a family business run by Perveen Khan and her three sons, Reza, Shaan and Omar.
